This thread is to discuss the issues with KB/M setup since Uprising.
The issue itself seems to be a combination of an inconsistent aim speed between the X and Y axis on the mouse and a hidden acceleration, deceleration of the mouse while aiming down the sights or when someone walks in front of you.
There also seems to be an issues with the mouse decelerating when you hold the fire button as if it is given friction and as soon as you let go of the fire button to re-aim it goes back into accelerated aiming.
All this combined provides an aiming experience i have never come across before.
Ingame sensetivity changes to the Mouse & aim smoothing can help a little but they are just a band-aid on a fatal wound. And yes Mouse users can still do 180 on a dime if they crank up the mouse DPI.
Having said that and having been fidling with my mouse all night, i came to the conclusion that...
...if you have a dual Axis Gaming mouse i could turn the oval aiming we have now back into a round one but the accel/deccel is still there. ...If you have a Eagle Eye converter that converts your mouse input to a True DS3 input, it actually works allot better then using the native Mouse support.
So if i use a third party converter that makes my mouse a DS3 with all the deadzones and controlled turning speeds conform to a real controller and it works better, then something is way off with the native mouse driver in uprising.
Any devs can take a look at it ?
I will be fiddling with the controlls all day and see what i can come up with, but as it stands the native controlls are completely unplayable from a KB/M point of view.
If i missed anything, pls comment, if you think everything is fine, don't post...

ZiwZih posted in another thread that ccp has confirmed that KB/M is broken atm, hopefully this is getting fixed sooner rather then later. |

I did try it in chromosone and it was almost identical to the native mouse, but selecting your equipment was an effort of epic proportions as the analog stick conversion could only go 90 degrees in the selection menu.
So after getting killed too many times trying to get my equipment out i shelved it and went back to native mouse.
The pro's about it where pretty much that you could configure your controls as you liked em, vs X for grenades, i could lob em with my thumb trough ALT and leave my movement fingers on Wasd. |

They stated the fix couldn't be applied on yesterday's release even if they knew (too late) of the issue as 'it was already sent' (the build, to Sony) and they could only try to tweak it a bit.
Hate this -- the new build is here and I have no lust to play, at all. Sad. Know how you feel. Was all pumped up for the new patch and PC. Now I might just skip the cap this week and see if they fix the issue on release. So far the only KBM users I know who say its fine had to adjust the dpi on their mice. Unfortunately I no longer have one with a dpi switch. Maybe this PSN outage will give them a chance to submit the fix?
Sad part is i took a week off from work to play Uprising, i am now reading comics and playing some Eve and going outside for the rest of the week until its fixed.
